What to discuss
Describe where and when water appears, recent work and any existing product information. Photographs taken from a safe position can help; do not climb onto the roof to complete an enquiry.
Build a clear scope
Ask for findings, proposed work, materials and limitations in writing. A patch, a component replacement and a broader roof renewal are different scopes; the assessment should explain why one is recommended.
Before selecting a contractor
Request the product documentation, a relevant scope, evidence of applicable qualifications and current coverage, and references you can check. Installation methods and warranty terms must be confirmed for the proposed project.
